Congratulations Emily on passing your Grade 1 Violin Exam!
Over the Summer Emily Green took her grade 1 Violin exam and passed with Distinction!
Under the teaching of Lesley Hickman, Emily got 132/150 so she got a distinction despite only getting 23/30 on her first piece. Even more impressive, she got 20/21 for her sight-reading! Her pieces were 'Y Dellyn Newydd', 'Skye Boat Song', and 'What Shall We Do with the Drunken Sailor'.
Emily has said she was really pleased with the result and didn’t expect it as she knew she had made some mistakes in her first piece.
