About NULCO

NULCO is a community project based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme in which aims to create a friendly atmosphere for local musicians to make music.

The project is open to anyone with an interest in the music arts or seeking a new opportunity. There is no skill level restrictions and NO AUDITIONS!

NULCO was first founded on 25th December 2015 with its first official rehearsal taking place in February 2016 at Newcastle Methodist Church. It was set up by it's founder and music director Thomas Barlow-Coxon who found a gap in providing a music service to musicians in the local community which was friendly and enjoyable.

The group started with Just 6 members finishing its first term with 15. A small performance was put on with music from film and TV which was  a great first concert for the group. The membership has since continued to grow and now sees a average annual subscription of 45 members.

Over the years the group have has taken on every given opportunity to perform including:
BBC Radio Stoke Christmas Carol at the Kings Hall Stoke.
Annual Newcastle-under-Lyme Christmas Light Switch on.
Weddings.
Fates.
Craft Fayres.
Care Homes.
Street performances.

The group continues to grow, take on new projects and work with the community to provide the best music service it can in the area.
